Payroll Administrator

Kforce's client in Elmsford, New York (NY) would like to add a Payroll Administrator to their growing team.This person will be responsible for:
Accurate data entry and audit into time and attendance, HRMS and payroll systems in strict compliance with all Federal and State payroll legislation and audit requirements
Serve as a resource for field management to train in company policy and assist in execution of payroll tasks
Expertly research and manage a high volume of requests, submissions and provide thorough follow-up
Quality control of data accuracy in high volume, deadline driven environment
Operate in strict accordance with established departmental documentation procedures for audit preparedness
Generate and/or compile routine, systemic and ad-hoc reports as needed
State and local taxation review to evaluate multi-jurisdictional accuracy and correction
Take a proactive approach to addressing issues quickly, seeing through to resolution and confirmation
Partner with internal colleagues, HR, Compensation, Member/Club Services in escalation and resolution of issues
Execute cyclic routine quarterly and year-end activities, distribute duplicate W-2s and research W-2c
Propose suggestions and solutions to management to increase efficiency and improve productivity
Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
3-5 years of Payroll Administration experience required
2 years processing with ADP PayForce required
2 years of experience processing 1000 employees preferred
Strong oral, verbal and written communication skills required
Strong organizational and thorough follow-up skills required
Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel required
Strong detail orientation with high volume data entry required
Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
Analytical/critical thinker with a -can-do- attitude and solution-driven approach to customer service
Ability to manage and simultaneously execute multiple projects and routine tasks timely and accurately
Ability to work occasional overtime as needed required
Comfortable with technology and learning new systems, functions and tasks

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
