Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Generating Daily Prep Lists for the Team based on Production Needs Management of Prep Cooks, Porters, Receivers and Portioning Maintaining overall Kitchen cleanliness and organization Ability to delegate tasks to subordinate employees and follow up on their completion Properly measuring and weighing all ingredients to ensure consistency Coaching and developing staff, with different skill sets, beyond their weaknesses Communicating any, and all issues, with the Culinary Director Overseeing production of large, weekly, bulk orders Working alongside the Culinary Director, Director of Operations, Purchaser, Plating Manager Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing or High Volume Catering, Commissary.
Professional Cook experience not a must but a plus.
The ability to confidently run the kitchen in the absence of your Culinary Director Managing the day-to-day operations of the Kitchen Knowledge of proper sanitation practices and NY Dept.
of Health regulations.
Excellent communication and problem solving skills Keeping a calm, professional demeanor at all times English speaking a must, Spanish speaking a plus Conducting Monthly Inventory and making sure all product prices are correct/updated Attending weekly meetings with the Business Owners and Management Team Job Type:
